A few simple steps that any arrest warrant in Montgomery County, Ohio, needs to follow to gain the status of an active warrant. First of all, a criminal act needs to be observed either by a law enforcement officer or by a county’s simple citizen. Secondly, the law-related agencies in the County, such as the city or town police or the Sheriff’s office, need to gather sufficient evidence so that a magistrate or a sitting judge can determine a probable cause. Once this occurs, these warrants will start gaining their legal force, and the same legal agencies will be able to search, find, and incarcerate the suspects.

Like in any other county in Ohio, active arrest warrants in this county become outstanding warrants in case law enforcement agencies have not succeeded in apprehending the individual against whom the arrest warrant had been issued.
